Travel Course

We also run a 6-week Spanish travel course twice a year, which is perfect for anyone preparing for a trip abroad. This course focuses on specific and essential “survival Spanish” to help you feel confident navigating real-life situations while travelling.

If unsure of your level, please contact us to complete a placement test so we can place you in the most suitable class.

With group sessions capped at just 6-12 learners, you’ll receive personalised feedback and regular speaking practice. For those wanting more tailored support, we also provide private Spanish lessons alongside the group course. These private Spanish lessons allow you to accelerate progress, focus on specific goals, or build extra confidence between classes.

If you’ve been wondering about the best way to learn Spanish, the answer lies in consistency, structured progression and supportive teaching. The best way to learn Spanish is through regular exposure, guided practice and meaningful conversation – exactly what this course provides.

This is not a standalone course, it’s the first step in a long-term pathway. After completing the beginner level, you can continue progressing steadily towards conversational fluency. With consistent attendance and home practice, many learners reach B1/low B2 within 18–24 months – confidently holding conversations with native speakers and travelling with ease, no Google Translate required.

A Travel Spanish booklet is also available to purchase separately.

A Life Shaped by Language and Resilience

From a young age, I was fascinated by languages and the doors they open to new cultures, experiences, and opportunities. My journey has taken me far beyond the classroom — I’ve lived and worked in Valencia and Graz, and even left my whole life behind to move to the Galápagos Islands amongst the tortoises, fully immersing myself in new languages and ways of life. These experiences not only strengthened my fluency but also deepened my understanding of how language connects people across the world.

My wife and I have just completed the A1 Beginners Spanish Course with Mollie which was a 12 week course. We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and love the fact that we can now string sentences together in Spanish. Mollie is a great teacher. She is very patient and her style of teaching is so reassuring which has helped us grow in confidence. We have also had the pleasure of being taught by Pauline too, who is equally fantastic. We can’t wait to start the A1+ Spanish course soon to develop our Spanish further! Not only do you learn a new language at LLA you also make lovely friends too, who are all eager to learn. We highly recommend LLA!!

Absolutely brilliant! Mollie is an excellent teacher. The lessons are based around small groups and are therefore fun and friendly. Mollie uses her knowledge to explain concepts in a way that are clear and understandable, even to the absolute beginner- like me! If you have ever wanted to learn a foreign language - Mollie will have you speaking, reading and listening almost immediately! Give Lancashire Language Academy a try, you won’t regret it!

Having retired and wanting to keep my brain active and learn a new skill, I started learning Spanish at the Lancashire Language Academy in September last year. I was very nervous and unsure if i could learn a new language however the classes are small which means I got to know my classmates quickly and we support each other. Mollie is a fabulous teacher, very encouraging and she takes the time to ensure the learning process is fun. I am now able to listen to and understand spanish as well as speak and read it. I am still on my journey and there is more to learn but I feel a sense of achievement and I can't recommend Mollie at Lancashire Language Academy highly enough.
