Mollie
Founder & Spanish and German Teacher
Hi, I’m Mollie – a fully qualified languages teacher with a degree in Modern Languages and a PGCE in Spanish and German.
My passion for languages has taken me from studying in Valencia and Graz to teaching in the Galápagos Islands. Creating Lancashire Language Academy came from a deeply personal turning point; after being diagnosed with stage 4 blood cancer in my early 20s, I was forced to re-evaluate my life, and after beating it, I realised I wanted to build something meaningful that could positively impact others.
Languages shaped my confidence, independence, and outlook, opening doors I never thought possible, which is why I created the academy – to help others experience those same opportunities, whether for travel, personal growth, or the joy of learning. I’m also passionate about the cognitive benefits of language learning; it’s powerful brain training that improves memory, focus, and problem-solving, making it especially valuable for older learners and retirees by keeping the mind active and boosting confidence. Outside of the academy, I love ice skating, gymnastics, and travelling, reflecting my belief in staying curious, active, and open to new experiences.

Carmen
Spanish Teacher
Hello! I’m Carmen, from Lima, Peru. I’m a journalist specialising in print and investigative journalism, and I’ve been teaching Spanish for five years. Here in England, I discovered how much I love teaching my native language to adults, young people and children. I also love animals and cooking, especially Peruvian food.
Katie
Spanish Teacher
Katie taught in Spain for 12 years and now teaches Spanish and French in a local high school. She also speaks Italian and Portuguese. Outside teaching, she enjoys hiking, reading non-fiction and travelling – always finding an excuse to practise her languages.
Pauline
Spanish Teacher
Pauline is a fluent Spanish speaker who has studied at Instituto Cervantes, the University of Manchester and in Spain. She teaches all levels, from beginner to advanced, and is passionate about helping every learner reach their potential.
Gennaro
Italian Teacher
Italian-born Gennaro has lived in the UK since 2008. He enjoys cooking, exploring new recipes and travelling, and regularly returns to Italy to visit family. He loves helping learners connect with the Italian language and culture.
Katia
Italian Teacher
Katia is a native Italian tutor who makes learning feel enjoyable and natural. Her flexible lessons are shaped around each student’s goals, interests and confidence, from first conversation through to more advanced learning.
Paul
Spanish Teacher
Paul has been teaching Spanish since 2002 and qualified to teach in 2004. He has taught at Nelson & Colne College, Burnley College and Ariston Language Centre, as well as through one-to-one tuition.
Nico
Online Asian Languages Tutor
Nico teaches Chinese, Japanese and Korean online. He has studied languages for over 15 years, speaks approximately 20 himself and has delivered over 4,000 hours of language lessons, focusing on practical communication across speaking, listening, reading and writing.

French Tutor
Bonjour! I’m Marie. Born in Mauritius and now living in the UK, I’m passionate about sharing French in a warm, friendly and encouraging way! With an MBA and 12+ years of business experience, I help students build confidence in French for both professional and everyday situations, with lessons fully tailored to their individual goals.
Lourdes
Spanish Tutor
I’m Spanish and have been living in England since 2013. With over 15 years of experience teaching both children and adults, I have developed a real passion for helping people discover the joy of learning languages.
I love sharing my enthusiasm for languages with others and believe that learning should be enjoyable. I like to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, gain confidence, and enjoy developing their language skills.
Seeing learners make progress and become excited about communicating in a new language is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time in nature, travelling, and exploring new countries and cultures. I’m also fascinated by languages and love discovering the different ways people communicate around the world.
For me, languages are much more than words—they are a way of connecting with people, discovering new cultures, and seeing the world from a different perspective. I’m excited to share that passion with our students and help them enjoy their own language-learning journey.
