Primary School Spanish Transition Days
Year 5 & 6 Immersion Programme
Our Primary Spanish Immersion Days are designed to make the transition to secondary school languages less daunting while helping pupils develop confidence, curiosity, teamwork, and communication skills. Activities are practical, creative, movement-based, and highly engaging for all learners.
The morning is structured around exciting carousel-style station activities where pupils rotate around a variety of interactive cultural and language experiences in teams. These activities are designed to keep engagement high while allowing all learners to experience success, creativity, movement, communication, and teamwork throughout the day.
Morning Activities Can Include:
Flamenco or Salsa Workshop
Pupils experience Spanish culture through dance, rhythm, movement, and performance while building confidence and teamwork skills.
Food Tasting Experience
Children explore Spanish culture through exciting food experiences, helping bring language learning to life in a memorable and engaging way. Options can include build your own taco, blindfold taste testing and more.
Make Your Own Piñatas
Pupils design and create their own colourful piñatas while learning about Spanish-speaking traditions and cultures through hands-on learning.
Team Challenges & Competitions
Throughout the morning, pupils complete interactive missions and team challenges to earn points and prizes, helping maximise engagement, confidence, resilience, and participation.
Afternoon Project
Spanish Market Stall Challenge
In the afternoon, pupils work collaboratively on a larger immersive project where they create their own Spanish market stalls. Teams design signs, menus, prices, products, and roleplay conversations before taking part in an interactive Spanish-speaking market experience. This project helps develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, communication skills, and real-world language use in a fun and supportive environment.
Secondary School Spanish Immersion Days
Year 7 Language & Culture Experience
Our Year 7 Immersion Days are designed to engage students early and help them associate language learning with confidence, communication, creativity, and success. Students actively use language through teamwork, cultural activities, roleplay, and performance-based learning.
The morning consists of fast-paced station activities where students rotate around a range of interactive language and cultural challenges designed to maximise engagement, participation, teamwork, and confidence. Students actively communicate, problem-solve, and collaborate throughout the experience.
Morning Activities Can Include:

Spanish Supermarket Sweep
A fast-paced shopping challenge where students use transactional language and teamwork to complete immersive speaking activities.

Students explore Spanish culture through exciting food experiences, helping bring language learning to life in a memorable and engaging way.
Escape Room Challenge
Students solve clues and puzzles using Spanish to unlock prizes, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
Competition, Teamwork & Prizes
Throughout the morning, students work collaboratively to complete challenges, earn points, and compete for prizes – helping drive motivation, participation, leadership, and confidence.
Afternoon Project
Spanish TikTok Video Challenge
In the afternoon, students work in teams on a larger creative project where they create, rehearse, and perform their own Spanish TikTok-style video. Using trends, music, roleplay, and digital creativity, students build spoken language confidence while developing teamwork, presentation, communication, and performance skills. The project gives students a fun and modern way to connect language learning with real-world communication.
